Hello! I'm Huilin Yang

 

I am currently a second-year master student at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) , majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I spent my first year of doctoral study at Joint Institute of Engineering of SYSU-CMU (JIE), Guangzhou and transferred to master program of Electrical and Computer Engineering on April 2017 because of the suspension of the JIE program. Before that, I received the M.Eng. degree in Information and Communication System at Beihang University (BHU) , China and the B.Eng. degree in Communication Engineering at Shandong University, China. More details can be found on my CV.

 

At present, I am doing research on facial annotation in the Bioinformatics Lab which is directed by Prof. Marios Savvides  in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CMU. When I was at JIE, I was a member of the Computational Anatomy and Neuroimaging Laboratory  headed by Prof. Xiaoying Tang  and had a paper accepted for oral presentation at 39th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2017 . When I was at BHU, I completed my master’s thesis advised by Prof. Zhigang Huang and published a paper in Journal of Zhejiang University . More details can be found at my Research Experience.

 

 

My academic interests are in broad fields related to Medical Image Analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Pattern Recognition.
